Affiliate Policy

Throughout this website at the end of every page, and throughout the pages or posts, you will see various hyperlinks and graphic images with associated hyperlinks to them.

These are mostly affiliate advertisements although some are just links to another page. Affiliate links lead to another Web site (usually a sales page) and there a product is offered for sale.

If you are new to the Internet, what this means is that if you click on a hyperlink and buy a product through my hyperlink, I will get a commission. Here’s an example of such an affiliate link on this site: http://www.xtend-life.com/supplements?id=390949.

I believe affiliate sales are fair for if I do the work in persuading you to at least take a look at the vitamin or herbal product and you feel it’s worth a try and then buy it, I should be rewarded with a small commission.

Some, though, have a problem with that — even though buying through an affiliate link doesn’t affect the actual price you pay for the product one iota.

Some also find affiliate links deceptive. Well, I try to hide nothing on my sites even though I have software that would allow me to cloak my affiliate links. If you think this is wrong, don’t buy through my affiliate links.

I have personally researched the various products I’ve used endorsed throughout this site and many of them I actually use. Thus, I’ve thought it would be wonderful to share that information. I don’t think it’s wrong to want to make a little money at the same time. If nothing else, I just want the site to be solvent, which I’m sure you can understand.

I know why people don’t buy through the obvious affiliate links on this site: it’s because they are affiliate links. They then probably go back to the site and on their own and buy direct without the link. That’s fine.

I’ve tried to be honest and in fact you will find me endorsing a specific product and pointing you toward a product even though I’m not an affiliate for that product.

In conclusion, affiliate marketing is the backbone of Internet marketing and it is here to stay unless the US government gets involved, but some people have a problem with it, and that is why I wrote this page.
