Review of Con-Cret Creatine Powder

Is the ProMera Sports Con-Cret creatine powder the best creatine supplement on the market?

Rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

Welcome to this review of Con-Cret, the pre-workout supplement from Pro Mera Sports that is touted to “Increase Strength” among its users. Many think the ProMera CON-CRET is the finest muscle mass building and creatine products on the market today. It is certainly among the most popular creatine supplements in the world.

As to whether or not it is among the best bodybuilding or muscle builder supplements in the world is debatable and subjective, but it is certainly among the most popular creatine monohydrate products on the market.

It is made by Pro Mera, a Norwell, Massachusetts company that makes workout supplements as well as fitness supplements in general.

Let’s now get into this offering by ProMera and their Con-Cret “muscle mass” supplement.

Con-Cret Product Features

“Pure Creatine Powder” is a highly sought after product. It is one of the best muscle building supplements in the world. If you want to increase strength, accelerate muscle development, the concrete creatine may be for you. Moreover, this product has won awards in both Europe and in the USA for producing the best creatine. Also, numerous clinical Concrete Creatine Awardsstudies confirm the efficacy of creatine to build lean muscle mass. Along with protein powder, it is one of the core bodybuilding supplements to synthesizing muscle mass.

There is a difference, though, in the quality of creatine powders. ProMera says, “There is real science behind every product we develop.” As supplement fraud is so common today, this is highly desirable. However, one notable omission is that ProMera doesn’t have its in-house manufacturing operation registered under the NSF International, The Public Health and Safety Company, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Program.

This designation is usually called the NSF Certified for Sport registered GMP certification. In the hyper-competitive sports nutritional supplement world, any edge is sought after. This competition has produced much better quality products than one saw in the 80s or even early 90s.

While Con-Crete is undoubtedly a superb product, lack of NSF Certified for Sport registration is a hindrance.

creatine powderThe GMP certification ensures purity of ingredients and rigid standards for product manufacturing processes in sanitary facilities. Now, is this to say Con-Cret is an inferior product? No, clearly it is not. It’s something they should consider acquiring in order to position their products with their competition most of who have NSF GMP compliant registration.

Con-Cret Product Specifics

For those who want “bulk supplements” or who want microdosing with their creatine hci, this proMera health conjugated creatine product may make your muscles as hard as “concrete” as it were. One of the key selling points of this product is that ProMera has a patent pending for its “micro-dosing” technology, which is based upon body weight. Essentially, they recommend one scoop per 100 pounds of body weight.

The product is designed, as a pre-workout supplement, to increase strength and endurance through facilitation of muscle synthesis; it’s designed to improve muscle recovery without facilitating water retention.

ProMera also touts that it has “superior solubility”meaning it dissolves very well. It also doesn’t, Con-Cret Creatine PowderProMera says, require loading or cycling.

Another key selling point ProMera emphasizes is that Con-Cret doesn’t cause cramping, bloating or gastro-intestinal problems. That is a tall claim as most creatine causes some stomach upset for many people (the author included). This is one of the reasons why it is such a well received product in the marketplace.

This product has one ingredient: creatine hydrochloride (hcl). Why? The hydrochloride molecule that is bonded to the creatine is supposed to enhance absorption and assimilation as well as to increase ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) production, thus allowing one to avoid a lot of common side effects like bloating, gastro-intestinal disturbances and nausea.

The concret creatine product recommends a daily intake of 750 miligrams (mg), which is exactly 0.02645547 ounces.

The con-crete product comes in two size options. It comes in a 1.27 Ounce Tub (1.27 ounces is 36 grams). Servings per container are 48. And, it comes in a 24 grams (.84 ounces) option as well.

The flavors it comes in are blue raspberry, unflavored, lemon lime, pineapple, and “snake fruit.” Pineapple seems to be the most popular.

How Much Should You Expect to Pay for Con-Cret?

The price range for Con-Cret varies from $21.52 to $60.65. The cheapest I’ve been able to find sells here at Amazon.

Does Con-Cret Have a Guarantee?

ProMera is justifiably proud of this supplement. It is guaranteed, though, by the vendor you buy it guaranteefrom, which is common for most supplement products sold. I recommend people buy from Amazon as 1) they have won for 9 consecutive years the best customer service award and 2) they have a superb guarantee, which you can read in part here, and 3) they have the best prices.

Con-Cret Consumer Reviews & Testimonials

On Amazon, this product garners a 4.3 out of 5.00 stars with 162 reviews as of this writing — and that is from just one vendor. On another bodybuilding website, it is the number four most popular selling supplement overall and it has an 8.9 out of 10.00 with, as of this writing, 1,015 reviews. Clearly, it’s a well received product in the marketplace among fitness aficionados.

Great Quality, Fast-acting Creatine

It’s great to have a creatine with such a small dose that also mixes and absorbs really well. Since kicking off my cycle three weeks back (stacked with PULSS: Premium Nitric Oxide Load ), I’ve taken on 11 lbs of dense, lean mass with almost no puffiness. There’s some water weight in there, sure, but I don’t look like the Michelin man.Con-Cret is pure creatine hydrochloride (HCL) which is the most soluble form of creatine available. You’re still getting straight creatine but with a hydrochloride group added on to create a salt, which enhances dissolution. It’s also suggested that because of the enhanced solubility you wind up with much greater bioavailability, meaning your body actually uses [most of] what you consume instead of just passing a good portion of it. This also eliminates the need for a loading phase. It’s also been recommended that you don’t need to cycle off, but I’d rather err on the side of safety with that one.

Works as Advertised, Both on Lifting and Cardio

Has been working for me much better than the monohydrates. I could tell the difference both on lifting and cardio workouts. Recommended for anyone who is disillusioned with the monohydrates as I once was.
Con-Cret vs. Kre Alk vs. Monohydrate

If you are just beginning to use creatine, start with regular monohydrate. It’s cheap, effective and tested by time. Allow yourself to get a feel for what creatine does for you and allow yourself to get used to drinking twice the amount of water you think you need and also see how your strength and endurance in the gym respond. After using monohydrate for a cycle and understanding creatine, then I recommend moving into the other “more advanced” types.

With that said, this review may be worth a read for you if you find yourself searching forums and reviews and comparisons between all the new an “Best” creatines on the market. I have used monohydrate in the past consistently and a couple years back had changed it up because of a sale price on con-cret. This opened me up to a new world of less bloatedness and increased gains while not taking an uncomfortable amount of creatine. In my opinion, kre-Alkalyn by scifit and Con-Cret are the two best creatines on the market today. I have tried many others, large scoops, small scoops, micro scoops, pills, etc. These two keep me coming back to them. I recommend trying both! Both will work differently for different people. If convenience is a factor, get the pills! Your gonna pay a few extra dollars for these but the benefits are worth it to me.

Con-Cret: The only ingredient in Con-Crete is Creatine HCl in a dose of 750 mg per scoop. The hydrochloride molecule that is bonded to the creatine is supposed to enhance absorption, increase ATP production, and allow you to avoid a lot of common side effects that come with creatine supplementation like water weight gain and cramps (even though I’ve never experienced any side effects from any creatine before).

Where Can I Buy Con-Cret?

Con-Cret Creatine PowderYou can buy it here, but you are free to choose. Is it the most effective creatine hydrochloride (or creatine hcl) product on the market today? That is debatable, but workout endurance, recovery, gains and tangible increases in strength many report by properly micro dosing with this concentrated creatine qualify it as among the better weight lifting supplements on the market today. It is certainly among the best creatine supplements in the world as well. I hope this review of Con-Cret has been helpful to you.
