Review of BSN NO Xplode

There are many good pre workout supplements on the market today. Is the BSN NO Xplode one of them?

Rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

Welcome to this review of the BSN NO Xplode pre-workout supplement product. The BSN N.O. Xplode supplement is one of the most popular pre-workout supplements in the world. Currently, on on of the more popular bodybuilding supplement site, it is the number fifth most popular muscle building supplements in the world.

The BSN NO-XPLODE 2.0 product along with BSN’s cell-mass and Syntha-6 products sell very well and are very well regarded by professional as well as

Let’s now get into this offering by BSN and their BSN N.O. Xplode supplement.

BSN NO Xplode A Quality Product

Quickly, this is a non-essential point but it bears mentioning. This is one of the most incorrectly written or named supplements in the sports nutrition supplement space. Its official name is BSN N.O. Xplode but it’s also written as noxplode, bsn no-xplode, bsn no explode, no xplode 2.71, no Creatine Powderexplode, no-xplode bsn, no-explode nt, n.o.-explode nt, no-plode, n.o.-xplode ntnoxplode nt, no-xplode nt, n.o-xplode, no-explode, no xplode fruit punch, etc. See what I mean?!

Even the simply named Cell Mass product is re-christened cellmass nt, cell-mass nt, cellmass, and others!

I will simply term it BSN NO Xplode.

Let’s talk about product quality as regarding raw nutrient quality testing and manufacturing processes. Why? Because supplement fraud is rampant and while significant gains have been made, it still exists. The fierce competition in the supplement industry has raised the bar for many products. The lacking products due to a dearth of competition in the 70s and 80s is a thing of the past. Many companies now like Optimum Nutrition, MusclePharm and Xtend-Life now voluntarily ascribe to strict standards of raw material quality control and rigid manufacturing processes.

BSN is one of those. It has recently been certified Its in-house manufacturing operation has been registered under the NSF International, The Public Health and Safety Company, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPNSF GMP Compliance) Program. What is that?

The NSF International is an independent organization that certifies products and creates standards for dietary supplements as well as food, water and other products. GMPs for the current NSF International Dietary Supplements Registration Program are included in NSF International American National Standard 173, the only American National Standard for Dietary Supplements.

In addition, BSN® has completed the GMP for Sport™ registration, which confirms the BSN® distribution facility is free of banned substances contamination.

Most companies only go for NSF Certified for Sport certification but BSN has the GMP Registered classification as well. This is very impressive for a supplement company.

To quote from their press release on it, “Good MNSF Certified for Sportanufacturing Practices are standards outlined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that address all aspects of dietary supplement production, from raw ingredient sourcing to final product release, as well as employee training and facility and equipment maintenance. Ongoing audits are performed in order to ensure continued compliance with the regulations. Companies who earn this designation have displayed a clear and consistent emphasis on quality throughout the manufacturing process.”

Product Specific Features & Benefits

Let’s now talk about the specifics in the product as to its nutrients, flavor options, canister options and its benefits to bodybuilders and other fitness enthusiasts.

This is a comprehensive, well constructed pre workout supplement that contains core muscle building agents including beta-alanine, creatine, betaine and citrulline. Its benefits are that it helps to synthesize muscle while improving strength, endurance, workout focus as well as providing nitric oxide production with a nice muscle pump during the workout.

Regarding its ingredients, here are just a few: Modified Glucose Polymers (Maltodextrin), Beta-Alanine (CarnoSyn®), Di-Creatine-Malic Acid Interfusion, Betaine HCL, Sodium Bicarbonate, Creatine-Sodium Phosphate Matrix, Creatinol-O-Phosphate-Malic Acid Interfusion, Glycocyamine, BSN NO Xplode SupplementCreatine Ethyl Ester HCL, Guanidino Propionic Acid, Cinnamon Extract (Bark) (Cinnulin PF®), Ketoisocaproate Potassium, Creatine-Alpha-Aminobutyric Acid Matrix (Creatine AAB™).

It does not have any epozine or epozineo2nt.

It should be known that it has caffeine in it as well, which some seek to avoid. However, they do have a caffeine-free version here.

The flavor options are lemon lime, fruit punch, lemonade, watermelon, grape, green apple, blue raz and cherry limeade. It comes in a beautiful red, translucent canister with 10, 20, 30, 50 serving options. The canister above is the 2.48 lb (50 servings) option.

Here’s how the servings breakdown per cannister:

  • 8 ounces — (10 Servings)
  • 15.9 ounces — (20 Servings)
  • 1.8 pounds — (30 Servings)
  • 2.48 lb ( 50 Servings)

So, the question of questions is this: does it work. It appears to work and to work very well in synthesizing muscle and in providing increased vascularity and energy during a weight training workout. BSN says it stacks well with their nitrix (sometimes spelled nitrex)

How Much Does BSN NO Xplode Cost?

The pricing range of this product varies. The price range are $32.49 to $80.68 on Amazon. As you can see, there can be quite a disparity. It is easily purchased at the $32.50 area.

Does BSN NO Xplode Have a Guarantee?

Like most supplement vendors, BSN will guarantee their products but defer to the retailer, guaranteewhether online of offline, for money back exchanges. One of the reasons why I recommend Amazon is not only for the nine straight years of winning the best customer service award, but also for their great guarantee, which you can read in part here.

It’s Been Around So Long Because It Works

I’ve read some reviews stating that people are concerned with their liver enzymes. While I can’t directly respond to what their body types are and what else they have in their diet, I can give my results. Our company I work for two years ago went to Cigna health insurance. They make us take a yearly exam or we are forced to pay higher premiums. Included in that exam is blood work. The most recent event, I had been on N.O. Xplode a little over 30 days taking one scoop on my off days and two scoops the days that I worked out. I went in for my exam during this period and had my blood work done. When my results came back, all my [liver] enzymes were well within the normal range. This result is the exact same as when I had blood work done before and I was taking N.O. Xplode; everything was normal enzyme wise. Now, I’m not calling the other reviewers liars by any means. There are just WAY to many variables to state that this product alone is causing their issue. Their body types, their diets, etc, etc, etc. But for me, it was a non issue. If you aren’t sure, take the product and get tested. This is one of the longest running supplements their is. It has been around for a VERY long time.I’ve taken many different types of pre-workouts. Jacked 3D, Noxipro, Muscle Pharm Assault, Bulldozer, N.O. Explode, and Gaspari Nutrition Super Pump to name a few. All work differently. One thing about them you need to remember is to CYCLE OFF of them for a month. You’d be amazed how quick your body adjusts to them and builds a tolerance and needs heartdisease1more for the same effect. The last thing you want is to stay on any pre-workout supplement for months and then quit cold turkey. For me, N.O. Xplode is like old faithful. While I will try other brands, I often find myself going back to it because it works. It doesn’t taste that bad to me and is actually better tasting that many other brands.
Potassium/Sodium Imbalance — Too Much Sodium
By Griobhtha on August 25, 2011
Flavor Name: Lemonade Amazon Verified Purchase

I like the mix of ingredients as they are good for you and can boost your output — all EXCEPT the large amount of sodium in this product. The sodium content PER SERVING (scoop) is 260-300mg. That in itself is too much, but when combined with the low potassium content per serving the sodium content becomes unhealthy and dangerous in the long term. The high sodium content (and low potassium content) causes fluid buildup on the outside of the cells and you may end up with cramps while lifting and pressure on your heart. BSN could easily fix this by substituting potassium bicarbonate for sodium bicarbonate and potassium compounds for sodium compounds. Many people ignorantly complain about magnesium content which is not a problem for this product (too much sodium WILL send you to the toilet). This product has a serious potassium/sodium imbalance and is not healthful as such.

X-Plosion!

Haha.. cheesy title.. but it really is quite a product. I have been using NO-Xplode by BSN for months now. Along with my iPod it has been one of the main factors in me losing over 55 lbs and at least 30 of that was pure fat! Do the research people.. you will find that the fat burning qualities of this product aren’t the only benefit. The ‘pump’ you get is only the beginning. The blend that is within the product allows for sustained workout times, faster recovery and healing of worked out muscles, higher reps for weight training and even longer cardio sessions.. if you are doing that.. and you always should be.It has become one of the base supplements that I have added to my routine. As always, you should do the research on anything before you jump into adding it to your body, and with teh internet.. that is NOT a difficult thing to do correctly. Along with and things like [Optimum Nutrition] 100% Whey Protein – Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate 5.15 lbs. and Ultimate Nutrition Arginine Pyroglutamate, 750 mg, 100 Capsules (Pack of 2)I am looking and feeling better than I was 10 years ago at 21. Doooo it!
Good Stuff

I like the atrophex, cellmass and nitrex 36514 products. I will buy no xplode and your nitric oxide products. Your precursors provide me with what I need. A friend said that it might cause too much vasodilation during workouts but as I don’t even know what that means, I’m not worried :0. I was also told to make sure my pre-workout supplement had arginine ketoglutarate as it works well with atro-phex and epozene or epozine-o2 nt but as long as it works.

Are there any customer complaints? You can see a few above. Some complain about its nutrition profile, others about the stomach upset it causes. All in all, it’s a popular and good selling product for BSN.

Where Can I Buy It?

BSN NO Xplode SupplementYou can buy it here, but you are free to choose.Clearly, this is one of the best creatine supplements in the world far surpassing products like betagen and others. It certainly competes well with Kre Alkalyn and Pre Jym and other pre workout supplements. This is a quality product.

I hope this review of the BSN NO Xplode pre-workout supplement product has been helpful to you.
