Welcome to this review of the Nature’s Best Isopure Zero Carb protein product. Nature’s Best was launched in 1984 and offers many fitness health products. As you know, there are many whey protein powder or casein protein powders on the market today.

I’ve reviewed many of them in my ongoing research for content for this website. (You can read or scan the various protein powders I’ve reviewed so far here, if interested.)

The protein powder space is very crowded with many superb products in this category. It’s also highly lucrative and hence so many competitors. That competition is good, though, as it has caused many sports nutrition supplement makers to “up” their game and improve. The quality of whey protein powder or casein protein is substantially better now than it was even 10 years ago.

Isopure Zero Carb Product Features & Benefits

One distinguishing factor of the Nature’s Best company is that they do not have  NSF Certified for Sport registered GMP certification. This  is highly desirable and an indicator of high product quality, but they do not have this certification.”GMP” stands for “good manufacturing practices” and is sometimes is represented as “cGMP” or “current good manufacturing practices.”

In essence, its in-house manufacturing operation has not been registered under the NSF International, The Public Health and Safety Company, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Program.

Why is this so important? Because it is an indicator of product quality as the raw materials are tested and validated as pure and free of contaminants. It also indicates strict manufacturing compliance with actual product creation. NSF for Sport GMP certification also confirms the non-inclusion of banned substances, which is especially important for professional athletes who look to bodybuilding supplements to augment their training regimes. Of course, amateur fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders are concerned about it, too.

Does this mean this is an inferior product? No, not necessarily. It is not a positive, though.

Let’s talk about the nutritional profile of this product. The nutritional profile of the Isopure Zero Carb product is excellent.

It provides the following:

• 210 calories per serving with 10 from fat
• 50 grams of protein per serving (this is one of the highest on the market)

In addition, the percentage of the daily value of the following vitamins and minerals is 50%. They are: vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, phosphorous, iodine magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdenum. Plus, it gives 20% of the daily value of chloride, 6% of iron and 70% for calcium.

What about the protein in it? The Isopure Zero Carb protein powder is made from  ion exchange whey (from cow’s milk) and protein isolate.

It’s a full figured protein powder; it is by no means a cheap protein supplement.

What About Flavors Available?

The Isopure Zero Carb product comes in many flavors, but the different sizes, i.e., 1 lb, 3 lbs., and 7.5 lbs don’t have uniformity of all flavors. Here are the flavors available per the size options:

• 7.5 Pound Option Price Ranges — $98.99 to $178.58 (the average is about $110)

Does Isopure Zero Carb Have a Guarantee?

Like most supplement manufacturers, Nature’s Best does have a general product guarantee for all their products. However, they also defer to the retail outlet, whether online or offline, as to their guarantee.

On Amazon, this product has hundreds of reviews averaging a 4 out of 5.00. On Bodybuilding.com, the product has 399 reviews as of this writing, garnering an 8.7 out of a possible 10.0. Clearly this is a well received product. Here are a few testimonials taken from Amazon:

This is my favorite protein. It tastes great specially compared to a lot of other brands, just like previous reviews its not to sweet or overwhelming. I saw a review that said its hard to mix, most protein is hard to mix with a spoon and this is certainly not any easier or harder than any other shakes I have used. I recommend using a mixing glass which you can find on amazon for under 8 bucks, these mixing glasses typically have a mixing ball or some type of mixing mechanism that helps blend together your shake or other drinks when shaken. If you want to go a step further use a blender and add strawberries, bananas, ice, eggs, nuts or any other healthy add on for flavor or additional protein. I personally use a magic bullet or a blender when at home if I’m out at the gym I use a mixing glass. Remember protein is at its most effective when taken within 30 minutes of your workout, not before, but right after and when taken with glutamine pills which help your body break down and absorb protein.

Are there any customer complaints? Like with most protein powders, some dislike the taste of some of the flavors. This is a common complaint, though, for all protein powders. Overall, customers seem to like the product.

Pros?

• Overall, it is a fine tasting protein powder

• It has no carbs
• It has among the very highest protein amounts per serving of any protein powder on the market today

Cons?

• It is not made in a GMP-compliant or certified facility
• It’s not very well known
• Some don’t like the fact that it has no carbs
• Some don’t like what they perceive to be a high caloric count per serving

Conclusion? This is a fine product but it’s lack of GMP compliance is a big negative as most of its competition have NSF Certification for Sport, GMP compliance. Competitors like Optimum Nutrition, MusclePharm, and Dymatize have it. That said, other than that negative, it is a fine product with good taste and is producing desirable results.
